Happy "any number here" Birthday to Me!

I'm thankful for another year God has bestowed upon me. For more grey hair, more wrinkles and for less active metabolism in my body.

The surprise cake!

There were two little people who more excited about the cake other than myself.

That's 14 by the way with no make up.

20 + 20 = 40

Turning the big 4-0 got me thinking about everything that has led me to this day. My ups and downs, my failings, the people that I have lost, the grace, love, patience and forgiveness God has bestowed upon me despinte my sinful nature and struggle to accept many things I cannot change. Let's just say that the week before my big 4-0, I found myself depressed at the thought of not having to be able to talk to the people that I have lost.

But God has giving me great friends and family who I can lean on and most importantly, he gave me John who suprised me with a surprised birthday party and as everyone knows it is very hard to surprise me.

My sister Yesenia took me out to eat so John could get set up. 

It is normal in the Hispanic community to push one's face against the cake, actually it is almost expected. Pay back is a biatch and fun!

Fun Sunday!

This past Sunday we had breakfast with the McIvor's. This is Phillip and little Xavian.
After breakfast, we went straight to James 2nd birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Not my favorite place at all. The place is too crowded and small. Thankfully, John made sure Sofia had fun.

This photo shoot took sometime to take. All the kids couldn't stay still in one place. We finally sat Sofia down and we clicked away!
And of course, the moms and the birthday boy. Very soon, I'm going to look normal again and not so massive...this is the word John said to me when he saw my bare naked belly last week....

Birthday Party

We went to Ryan's 3rd birthday party at the Frisco Wiggles playcenter yesterday, and we soon found out that the place is not a good fit for Sofia's age, thankfully, we found this small room for infants up to 18month old children fit for Sofia.

Sofia at one of the bouncing houses. She stayed in that position for about 5 minutes, we are thinking she will move or get up any minute now, well, then kids started running up and down and that's when she didn't like all that bouncing and with a loud cry she said get me out of here.

then this, again nothing.

After that we tried this. She was not amuzed. This place is not very big so you really feel cramped.

Then she decided to play with the ball, then eat the ball and that's when we decided the ball that is touched by all these kids was not a good thing.

Below, is where we should have being all along but didn't see it until the end. Here is Sofia with Reagan, John Noel's daughter. She's a cutey!

Sofia didn't not sit at the table because she can't eat pizza yet...she only has one tooth out so she only got to watch.
