Sofia - The New Latina Disney Princess - Sort of

John and I have, in fact, in the past talked about if or when Disney will release a hispanic Disney princess since they have now come up with just about every ethnicity princess there is for example:

Lilo - Haiwaiin, not exactly a princess but the movie was a huge hit
Mulan - China
Jasmine - Arabia
Pocahontas - American Indian
Tiana - African American
Belle - French
Ariel - A Mermaid not exactly an ethnicity but from Atlantis, so this classifies as an ethinicity

So, what's left? Philipino, Japanese, Dutch, German, Brazilian. Abvoiously, you can't do them all, but I'm truly voting for a real Hispanic Princess movie like from Spain, they still have a King and Queen over there. Or perphaps, I should write a script and present it since Disney is lacking the research on my culture. What's worse, they are even suggesting she's of hispanic heritage, people are supposing she's hispanic because of the spelling of the name. Then, why bother?

Well, that's just it, I won't even bother my real Princess (daughter) Sofia (spelling is the same) about this new Princess. I just dont' buy it. Not yet.

Microchip Car Headed for the U.S.A

I drive an SUV because I have toddlers with car seats and it is quite comfortable that I sit higher than the average car. Today, I read that in three years, in which case I will still very likely still be driving my SUV, India will be shipping their Tata Nano car or as I call it, Microchip car that fits only the driver their companion and one bag for only $3,000.00. Great for students and teenagers. Not so great for me, because I don't usually look down, like deep down on the road for bugs and insects.

I hope they come in very bright colors. This car is very scary if you get hit sitting inside one of them.

No Homework for French Children

Today, the world news got weird.

Up first, the French President, whoever he, is trying to push a homework ban and wants to get rid of homework...

He states that poor kids don't stand a chance because parents are not likely to be at home to help them with homework versus the other kids who are priviledge enough that their parents do care and actually take time away from their selfish nature and sit with them and help with homework. But get this: They only go 4 days a week!!! Geez! and now no homework! He believes homework should be done at school not at home that children should play outside.

Kids don't play outside anymore, they hooked on gadgets! Because their poor parents want them out of their way. Ugh!

Talk about spreading the ignorance but that's why we have France to start it.

A few years back, California wanted to pass a ban similiar to do this because children were at risk of developing Tuberculosis. All I got was headaches. I came to the States and my dad never sat down with me and I manage to graduate. I figured if he didn't care, I had to find it in me to care enough about me.

Lance Dope Armstrong

I remember the time when I cheated on my Algebra test and was caught red handed. The feeling was awful. "I thought were better than this!" said my teacher with a face of disgust and utter and disappointment which I would never forget. Since that day on, I learned cheating doesn't get you anything but stripped of your character and live with the shame and only to pick up the pieces and learn not to ever do it again.

Lance Armstrong, you may deny you never doped which leads me to say that you will never learn your lesson to live an honest life. I'm glad they took away your titles, you don't deserved. You cheated! You may be doing good deeds with your charity work but you cheated your way and lied to everyone. Thank goodness, I never counted you as my idol, in fact, there is no sports figure that I count as my idol...however, there are a few sports figure that I would LOVE to take a picture with:

1. Pele
2. Troy Aikman
3. Emmitt Smith

If any of the above people doped in the past or cheated in any way, form or shape they would drop off my list like a dead fly!

Dallas: 2024 Olympic Bid

The Seaman's love the Olympics. Winter and Summer and today I learned Dallas is going to bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics! Let's see Sofia will be 16, me...uhh, never mind, who cares. Just like my long life dream came true to watch a World Cup in Dallas back in the 90's, my next dream, God willing, will be to watch as many Olympic events as I can!

Let's cross our fingers and pray this happens! Sure, it's 12 years down the road but why not! Philly (yuck) and New York is also bidding. Texas is much cleaner than these two.

Where Have All the Girls Gone?

If John and I chose to have a third baby, I pray is another girl. I'm in love with tutus and fairies. But if God CHOOSES to give me a boy, I'll be just as happy. I don't understand people (moms) who do whatever it takes to select the gender of their babies either naturally or by a scientific method because they want to even out their offsprings or whatever reasons they have.

If my mother would have set out to do the impossible to have two boys and two girls, I would have missed out on meeting one of my sisters. I don't get people! Let God choose!

The world is becoming unbalanced. In pockets across the globe, women are giving birth to too many boys. In China, the sex ratio is 121 boys to 100 girls. In India, it's 112 to 100. Sex selection also is a force in the Balkans, Armenia and Georgia. In her eye-opening book, "Unnatural Selection: Choosing Boys Over Girls, and the Consequences of a World Full of Men," journalist Mara Hvistendahl estimates that ultrasound and abortion have "claimed over 160 million potential women and girls -- in Asia alone." That's more than the entire female population of the United States.

If you think that scarcity makes women more valuable, you are right -- but that does not mean females benefit. As "surplus men" have trouble finding mates, young girls are forced into prostitution. Others are forced into arranged marriages. On Taiwan's eBay, Hvistendahl finds three Vietnamese women for sale for $5,400.

Those women who do well economically in the new order sadly are more likely to abort daughters in favor of sons.

The results are equally bleak for men. Many boys grow up knowing they are unlikely to marry and start a family. In two years, 1 in 10 Chinese men will lack a female counterpart. The Chinese have a term -- fenquing for "angry youth" -- to describe the legions of young men likely to grow old alone. They find release in places like the Rising Sun Anger Release Bar, "where for the price of a few drinks, customers can pummel one of the bar's hired hands." In that equation, both men are losers.
