Raising kids requires building blocks. In this case, I'm talking about teenagers.
I vented to my OBGYN how my youngest decided on one high school instead of another. I was heartbroken at my daughters decision. As I cried and vented, my OBGYN told me the story of his middle child's journey to find his way, and how happy he is now.
"The high school journey is just a building block to where they want to go. College is another building block. Then adulthood comes and many building blocks will present themselves as they mature. High school is just the beginning. In other words, it doesn't matter what high school she chose to go, its what she will do with the this building block that matters."
Well, God bless my OBGYN. He's right.
Trust the Lord that He will keep my daughters on his path not mine.
