Pounds Continued...

I failed. I experienced a Valentines Italian dinner with John, then Sofia's b/day, those cupcakes were incredibly delicious not to eat one..or two..OK more than two! Oh, yes, Superbowl happened too and my sister Wendy of course had good food for all of us to eat but I only have myself to blame. I did lose two pounds but I gained them back.

The only positive thing that has happened this month is that I'm running for about 10 minutes pain free of Plantar Fasciitis. This is a good thing! I ran yesterday non stop and my pain was a 1 out of 10 (10 being the highest pain you can ever feel.) Why am I not running more? I don't want to risk re-injuring myself, therefore, a little bit at a time is good. Not that I can run a 5K now, because that is pretty much impossible at this point.

I'm going to start running every three days to see how my Plantar feels and go from there. Running, of course is the fastest way to lose the weight and for me also helps me de-stressed. So, here I go again at:

143

This month of March we have Lent (for Catholics only of course not sure if other Christian denominations observed Lent but we do, not saying there is nothing wrong with not observing Lent, just saying.)

I will not observed dieting for Lent because that in my book is absurb, and not at all spiritual, but that is another subject.

Yours Truthtfully Once Again Overweight,

S.

Five on Friday - Learning

1.How and when did you learn to swim?

I need to set up a class to learn how to swin sometime in April/May or right after Sofia's swimming class. I think she should go first.

2.How and when did you learn to drive?

At 17. A month after graduating from High School, I paid $200 bucks and it took me two tries to get my license. Memories, memories.

3.How and when did you learn to tie your shoelaces?

This I can't remember. It must have been early on because I have no memory of it, I'm sure it was painful...

4.How and when did you learn to cook?

I learned at 6 or 7 years of age. I cooked rice, eggs, fried plantains. I got bored cooking the same thing but it was a start.

5.How and when did you learn to type?

Learned to type in my Sophmore year in High School...I started typing 80wpm. One time I did 90wpm in those electric typewriters. I wish I had an old one just to show my daughters how it was done before...

Vintage Ads...

One word: TACKY!

Indoors, women are useful (especially in the kitchen!) they even had the nerve to write "even pleasant and a even a drag" Ads like these remind me why there was a feminist movement.

I guess, I'm with Stupid today because I had a cup of coffee.

It all comes down to hygene apparently...

"women are soft and gentle but they hit things" Not only are we a drag, but we're also clumsy. I'm thinking the same writer from that Drummond sweater ad wrote this as well.

"when you feel good, you're good to be around" and when you are PMSing you are a biatch. Just saying. Excuse my French.

Kneel to me slave! It's a man's world!

She doesn't look too happy scrabbing the floor, does she? hey, at least she's now an American citizen.

I don't see any shoes, jewerly, cash, trips, flowers in this ad. That's right! The wife is only good to be indoors!

I wonder why they stopped making this toothpaste? I'd have loved trying this one.

Sofia's 3rd Birthday!

My baby turned 3 today! We celebrated with pizza and cupcakes!

Sofia loves to pose with her toys! She lines them up and I click away!

Loves to climb on trees and she's not afraid of heights!

She's trying on mami's knee highs and shoes!

I love seeing Sofia grow, explore, laugh and even cry. I love hearing her speak my Spanish language as well as English. I want her to be proud of who she is and where her parents come from, not perfect but full of unconditional love for her.

P.S: Medit, I want you to know that you were missed! Everyone was asking for you!

Five on Friday - Hobbies

1. What are some hobbies you would like to try, but haven't done so?

I would love to try embossing. Maybe one of these days when I get plenty of extra time, I'll try it.

2. Why did you not pursue these hobbies?

hmmm..It didn't attract me as much as it is now, but right now I'm finding sewing very rewarding and I'd stick with one thing only. I don't have the luxury of spending too much time on too much stuff.

3. Do you often feel limited by your financial state with how you spend your free time?

My free time is limited by: a) I want to do nothing but put my feet up and be with my husband and/or b) I need to get that sewing project done or it will never be done.

4. Do your hobbies play a major part of your life, or help define who you are?

I feel my sewing Hobie is helping me define my lack of technical skills. I am not a technical person and sewing is helping me push myself and not give up when I can't figure something out that requires me to step out of the box.

5. Do you have any hobbies you have made income from?

Not yet!! I hope to get there soon!

Gardening 2011

And speaking about beginnings, Raquel started her gardening training last weekend. At first, she was very hesitant but warmed up and I had to pulled her out it because it was time for dinner but nevertheless, it seemed Raquel really enjoyed it.

Sofia was excited that she got to garden again! She was asking for her own gardening tools!

Team Seaman

Another Sous Chef

Another Sous chef in the making! Today, Raquel made her grand entrance to cooking by just watching. I was amazed she didn't move around and stayed still just like Daddy asked her too.

Paying detail attention to everything Daddy did and say about the art of cooking.

Here they are! Cooking while mommy started laundry and took a break from cooking breakfast.

Here's Sofia losing her fear of touching a pan handle and stirring food.

Who to blame?

Packers or Steelers? I blame the Packers for bringing ice and snow to Dallas. Just last week we were enjoying 75 degree weather and the day they arrived we got hit with ice and 6 inches of snow! If Miami would have come to the Superbowl we might of had 80 degree weather! who knows!

I'm still betting for the Packers to win it and take all this lousy weather with them.

Raquel all prep to go out into the snow.

the bags were my idea.

Underneath all the snow, lay ice! this week was horrible!!! It took John two hours just to get back home!

watching some princess movie while mami went to the Doctor.

The obligatory snow man. John called his Medievel Snowman.
